About the owner

 
 
Lidia Million, a woman with much decorated CV. She has BSc in Computer Science and BA in Accounting. She is passionate about designing. She has certificate in designing training in par time. She has also received training courses on entrepreneurship, branding and marketing. She was a teacher in a computer college. She has worked in Ethiopian telecommunication Corporation in data analysis position. She has also worked as Admin and project coordinator in NGO called, Hands of Hope Foundation International.
 
 
 
Though she's been engaged in various activities, designing remained as her passion. Through all this time she has been designing. Before five or six years, she didn't think that she would be in this business. All she was doing was designing and being happy. “There are a lot of challenges and difficulties until one step on two feet in the business”, Lidia said. But, she never complain about it, rather challenges empower and encourage her to do more and better.
 
 
 
When establishing Lidia Leather Crafts, her aim was not only limited to getting profit, but to change the life of others around her too. She has been and still works on women empowerment and creating job opportunities for disabled women. We consult our customers on what is best for them. However; if they buy our product and felt like it's not what they want, we will gladly change the product according their wish. We also give after sale repair service.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Team

 
All of our team members are well experienced and qualified individuals. Lidia Million is the main designer in the team with others workers in production and sale.We currently have eight employees from which seven of them are women. The general manager is Million Tefera, and sales manager is Ashenafi werku. We have been working together since the inception of Lidia Leather Crafts, for the past four years.
 
 
 

Social Contribution

 
Lidia Leather Crafts gives various trainings to women with disabilities. We train them how to make leather jewelries and different leather accessories. We also give them the raw material for free and buy them back the jewelries and other accessories to give to our customers as a gift.

We have received certificate for participating on a trade fair in Uganda, and for participating in All African International Leather Fair. We have also participated in business to business package in Rwanda. It was organized by Rwandan Chamber of Commerce with central aim of experience sharing and finding a way to supply major raw materials from Ethiopia to Rwanda.
